Autodesk invited me back to do a second mural at their new HQ (after the first mural the previous summer). For this, I intentionally wanted to create a piece that celebrates my heritage and is a love letter to the AAPI community. It features a garden of flowers native to the Asia and Pacific Island regions: from tropical blooms found in South and Southeast Asia (lotus, rhododendron), to vibrant buds of East Asia (sakura blossoms, chrysanthemums), to flourishing florals from the Pacific Islands (hibiscus, gardenia). It’s a reminder of how beautiful our communities are and our strength when we bloom together —and a reminder to stand proudly.
